Happy Pappy's Country Store opened its doors in October of 2010. I am Jeffrey Bisson the owner
(or you can call me Pappy) and I opened with the idea of keeping the tradition of the local corner store alive and
well. Part of my plan was to help the local community thrive in any way possible. I was raised with a strong belief in
"keeping it local" though it was not a recognised movement back then. I found that one of the biggest things I could
do was support other local crafters, artists, Growers and other small businesses. I found with the store it was easy to
do by offering reasonable rates for space at the store. Above you will see links each represents a local crafter,
artist, or small business that has chosen to sell there products through our store. I also found that by becoming a
member of Rochester Main Street I was able to do much more then I could alone. I found that Rochester Main Street
so closely matched my beliefs and goals that when they asked me to join the Board of Directors I was honored.
